Competition with the Owner

March 17th, 2008

One thing that does differ is the way MilBid’s leadership stand on competition with members. The owner of MilBid (Adam) has no intention on competing with someone else in a niche. Initially items were listed to help jump start the auction block but once members come in with similar products those starter auctions will be removed. You never have to worry about competing with the leadership here at MilBid.

This type of selling is a negative against sellers that have no control on unfairness and brings down the morale of the entire member base. Knowing that you will be treated fairly along with your products is important to us. The owner specializes in military collectibles and has his own outlet to sell his goods. If someone comes in and sells the same product then Adam’s listing will be removed. If anything is ever overlooked than please step up and say it is so. The intentions are clearly laid out and this post is strong enough to show everyone how we stand on such competition. This site was not started so the owner could have a free venue to sell on. MilBid was started so others can have a fighting chance to earn money and reap the benefits of this website.

As with anything here, you have a voice and these things need to be discussed. We encourage our members to be proactive in setting things fair and this is one of them.

Are You Part Of Spreading MilBid?

March 17th, 2008

Spread the word is what we need. We can’t spread the word without you. We are no fool to think the world will know us through just regual advertising. Word of mouth is still the number one way to get people involved. It’s true that when someone tells you about a site they tend to listen and begin checking things out. Spreading the word can take place in many ways. Some of the ways you can help are:

  1. Email
  2. Write a blog or post in your favorite forum
  3. Tell a friend at work
  4. Tell a family member
  5. Share success stories

We know you’re not alone in the quest of ecommerce whether you are just looking for something to buy or selling the stuff in your garage. You have support here and we hope that you will support us back through efforts of gabbing. It doesn’t take much but a sentence to inform someone new to what is going on. Go ahead and try it!

Why MilBid.com?

March 17th, 2008

Many ask, many will ask, and now we will try to answer. With a flood of auction sites springing up, none have successfully developed a mission that impacts anything but the owner’s wallet. With a real cause that so many people can relate to MilBid answers many things people are looking for. People want a home they can get cozy with. We are not a corporate giant or a greedy money machine. We don’t answer to any stockholders, nor will we ever. No one will ever buy us out, or change our mission. The bottom line is that we are here to help people become successful. Read the rest of this entry »
