Making MilBid
MilBid is a new auction site breaking ground in February, 2008. Within a quick 2 months we have seen registration jump to 72 members as of April 21, 2008 along with over 2700 listings by members and not Admin. There is no listing boosting or duplicate membership just to make the site look better against other sites. So naturally what is driving MilBid? Are we giving everyone money to list, special positions to become a member, or some other kind of incentive? The answer is no, we are not giving anything away except our real estate. Some incentives of being a seller and buyer on MilBid are easy to see once you visit:
- Everything is free, and the owner is not a Tiger in the brush waiting to spring fees out. The site was built as a contribution to the auction field buy a previous powerseller and ecommerce oriented individual.
- The member base is proactive in helping people actually sell and buy. Time is not wasted in drama of being part of the site rather time is being spent building infrastructure and getting people in the position to reap benefits instead of just hanging out.
- MilBid is a robust auction site containing many areas from the blog where the Admin puts real words out to people that want to know what’s going on. The forum is the open area where buyers and sellers can get to know each other to form solid business relationships and trust. The community allows members to initiate groups and blogs to spread member voices out further. Podcasts to let visitors and members hear intentions right from the horse’s mouth.
- Many features to aid in making everything easier. You can find the huge list of features in the enhancement section of the forum. This list will rival many current auction sites and so far have shown their strength by the quick membership draw.

The funds also help build care packages for the men and women serving on the front line. You are never asked for money! You are never guilted into giving.
We only ask that you sell as much as you can, and buy what you want. By you doing this, you help create the traffic that advertisers want to see.
