Vintage DRESDEN Handpainted SMALL DISH with FIGURAL YELLOW ROSE on HANDLE TAB! NO RESERVE! This auction is for small DRESDEN handpainted dish or bowl with a figural yellow rose on the tab handle. This little dish was probably used for mints or as a trinket holder on your dresser for jewelry or rings. It could have been a card receiver too. It is a beautiful dish that measures about 5.5" long by 3.5" wide and 1" tall. It is marked on the bottom with the crossed swords mark and the words "Germany - Dresden". Condition is EXCELLENT....there are no chips, cracks, hairlines or flakes…no scratches or wear to the gilt or flower painted in the base of the bowl either. This is a very usable little dish that would make a lovely gift item....especially for someone with jewelry they remove at bedtime, but wear regularly during the day. I also have another of these dishes nearly identical only with a pink rose on the handle.
