There are currently two permanent Civil Affairs units in the United States Marine Corps. One is the 3rd Civil Affairs Group (CAG) and the other is the 4th CAG. This is a really beautiful dog tag shaped coin from 6th Civil Affairs Group, 2nd Marine Division. Both the 3rd and 4th units are in the reserve of the Marine Corps. There are two other CAG units the 5th and 6th, which have been created provisionally for Operation Iraqi Freedom deployments. The coin is dedicated to Marine Corps operations and support in Iraqi Freedom. It is a very bright challenge coin that talks for itself.
This coin is approx 2.5" x 1.5" in size and 3mm thich.
