The Davis-Monthan AFB Office of Special Investigations is a vigilance unit of the US Air force. It is currently operational over Central and South America. The Davis-Monthan AFB Office of Special Investigations is dedicated to two Tusconians who died in aerial accidents while serving the U.S. Army and they were 2nd Lts. Samuel H. Davis and Oscar Monthan. It was officially named by the World-famous aviator, Charles Lindbergh, on Sept. 27, 1927.
